Introduction

This website is designed to give an oversight of my abilities as a data analyst. My target audience is familiar with all aspects of “data to dashboards” in the data analysis industry. However, if you are in HR, then the main tabs of interest are likely to be Certifications, and Resume. If your focus is data analysis, then I would suggest you view the My Portfolio and My Solutions.

If you are familiar with the Myers Briggs personality type indicator, I am an INTJ. This will tell you that I am intuitive, logical, and have a drive to finish any project that I start. All my projects have been finished under budget and before the deadline. I almost always start with the big picture, and then fill in the details. I have a drive to understand the tools that are germane to my work and how they interact. Thus, I am continually searching out new solutions as you might recognize by my reading list of books and blogs.

Many of my positions have combined analytic work as well as communicating with all sides of a team. My stint as an adjunct professor teaching Microsoft Office and Introduction to Programming helped further my growth in these areas.

I have continued to expand my understanding of the data process by signing on to the Microsoft Power BI Community Forums and providing solutions to other data analysts. This problem-solving ranges from elucidating what the poster’s issue is, to creating a solution, to researching how the tools are interacting. I find it very satisfying to have my solution help someone solve their problem and complete their project. The Microsoft Power BI Community Forum selected me as a Super User Level IV, which is the very highest level of the forum for the solutions provided to the other members of the community.

Most recently I passed the exam DA-100, the Microsoft Certification for Data Analyst which explores all the facets of Power BI.

I am truly excited and invigorated by the complexity of data analysis, and the tools that Microsoft provides and is currently updating on a monthly basis. Every day, I get to say, “How cool is that!”
