This project is derived from an eye catching video from MBAS 2019 on Power Query. “Microsoft Power BI: Connect and transform data from hundreds of data sources using Power Query.” This projects shows scraping data from a website to build a table using “By Example.” I have also included an image which is captured from the underlying table in Power Query Editor with Column Quality, Profile, and Distribution turned on. The use of AI in this project to get the data from this web is exciting! After building the table, I use “By Example” to merge details from the other columns to create a “Comments” column which is then turned into custom Tool Tips on the dashboard. Various other transformations are applied, including a conditional column to show the maturity level of each connector.
