This is another project modeled after one from “The Big Book of Dashboards.” This dashboard allows the user to see complaints by instigating party, by reason, by date, and how many complaints are open, or closed. In addition, the date range may be specified.

I reverse engineered the data by looking at the picture of the dashboard in the book. Amazingly, the only three measures that are needed: [Total Complaints], [Open Complaints], and [Closed Complaints] (which is derived from the first two.) I used CALCULATE () and COUNTROWS ().
