Every astute salesperson and marketeer needs to spend time learning about their customers. This dashboard is designed to help them do this by breaking down various attributes of their customers not readily seen in the customer table alone.
This dashboard is made interactive by using a slicer, the page filtering, and by using a hierarchy on the column chart. This allows the user to drill down for additional information.
In the preparation for this dashboard, I added a table to be able to “harvest” the customers’ ages and convert them into “age bands”. I then used that table to create a new calculated column for the Customers table.
The data for this dashboard comes from Microsoft AdventureWorks Access database.
